Be honest with yourself, you have gone onto Pinterest at one point or another, saw a DIY project or recipe, tried it, and failed…utter disaster. You haven’t? Well, lucky for you, you can just sit back and enjoy everyone else’s frustration. I however, am one of many who have been a victim of the infamous #pinterestfail. There is nothing to be ashamed of here…humiliated, mortified, anxious…maybe, but not ashamed. It happens to the best of us.

It happens with recipes…like trying to make a beautiful Christmas cake such as this:

And then it turns into a Cake Forest (however, it still tasted delicious):

It happens with holiday DIY projects such as gold leafing Easter eggs on a Saturday afternoon

But again….not as easy as it looks:

Now my personal favorite is when fellow ladies try to boost their appearances in some way…like a close friend of mine who just wanted to paint her nails:

But don’t loose hope. After about 5-10…maybe 45 #pinterestfails you will have a win, like I did with homemade Girl Scout Cookies:

…ok mine didn’t look that good. But they aren’t terrible either.

#pinterestfail has only become a thing because people experience it, a lot. Some (me) more than others…well maybe not Martha Stewart…but she is the exception, nevertheless, most people experience it. Learn to embrace those fails and share them for the rest of the world to laugh at…oops I mean with…you.

    1. Oh, I will assure you that those are all my failures (minus the nails which were a friends.) I am not a craft person!

  1. I haven’t yet attempted to make a DIY from pinterest, but I am so amused by the ‘fails’ I see online, great post!

  2. I actually have a monthly “Pinterest Day” with my friends and we try common Pinterest fails to see what we come up with. The melting crayon one was my favorite lol Quite the disaster.
