Who wouldn’t think that slavery still exists in today’s generations of the 20th Century?  First of all,  let’s define what exactly is modern slavery, “Modern slavery,” “trafficking in persons,” and “human trafficking” have been used as umbrella terms for the act of recruiting, harboring, transporting, providing, or obtaining a person for compelled labor or commercial sex acts through the use of force, fraud, or coercion,” said the U.S. Department of State.  Modern slavery is known to the duties such as sex trafficking, child sex trafficking, forced labored, bondage or debt labored, domestic servitude, forced child labor, unlawful recruitment, and use of child soldier. In a matter of fact, there are documentaries on Youtube about how the Myanmar and Thai governments takes part of this human trafficking business. Majority of the human trafficking victims are people who lives in poor environments such as villagers outside of the Capitals of Myanmar and Thailand. Human Trafficking in the U.S.?

Human traffickings is happening everywhere, even here in the United States. There are ads for sex in about 29 States and California has one of the largest human trafficking industry. Minnesota is even one of those 29 States and recently WCCO just reported that, “4 people has been arrested in International sex trafficking ring with Minnesota Connections.”  How do we prevent modern slavery?  “Officials say the only way to stop this activity is if men stop responding to these ads.”  Below is the link to the news on WCCO about the arrest of the 4 people who were invovled in the International sex trade industry.  http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2017/03/29/ramsey-co-atty-calls-human-trafficking-operation-most-sophisticated-hes-seen/
